Cannington Golf Club wins Freeman Trophy

Cannington Golf Club emerged the winners after a long day competing in the Three Counties League Freeman Trophy held at Long Sutton Golf Club, Langport.

This was a great end to a successful season for the club, following their relegation last year from the first division, where they immediately bounced back at the end of this season, and the B team finished runners-up in the second division Reserve Shield event.

The Freeman Trophy was played over 18 holes in a team format. Eight golf clubs took part, with the best eight stableford scores to count from a 12 man team.
